Don’t go chasing waterfalls
Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to
I know that you’re gonna have it your way or nothing at all
But I think you’re moving too fast

For some reason, that song has been stuck in my head for days now. And if you don’t know that song, you’re not a certified 90s kid. LOL. The single was released May of 1995 by the group, TLC. It was about drugs, violence and HIV/AIDS that were really highly controversial back in the 90s.
Little me back then didn’t even know what the song was really about, I just knew I liked the breezy feeling the song gives. Have you guys ever had that experience? It doesn’t even have to be music. Like you don’t care what the thing means or how it looks, you just know you like the thing for how it’s making you feel? I wonder if that makes me mababaw or stupid but I am pretty sure I’m not the only one who experienced that.
It also reminds me of some great love stories. You know the head-over-heels kind of romances, where you know it’s destructive or maybe unappreciated but you still go on ’cause you just can’t stop loving the person. The kind where you love someone too much; more than your favorite food or music, more than alcohol or pizza or video games, more than yourself. The kind of love that surpasses anything and almost everything. Have you experienced that? If you have, then you know what I’m talking about.
